The latest issue of Tynedale Life is free with the Hexham Courant.
The strange goings-on on the front cover of the spring issue are just one of many things that are happening in the thriving village of Humshaugh.
The picture shows members of the village’s theatre group – one of the beneficiaries of a local community venture which has become a national success story.
A very different community can be found in the hills of the North Pennines – one where people have given up their past lives, including their names, to become Buddhist monks. Tynedale Life was allowed access into this secluded monastery.
The magazine also features stories about an Ovington girl who rose to become the commanding officer at Camp Bastion in Afghanistan; and a group of ballroom dancers whose emotions run high when they take to the floor.
Then there’s the wonderful world of model railways (watch the video on our home page), and the cacti that thrive on classical music.
You’ll find these features, plus a whole lot more, in the latest issue.
